Hunting plastic – sustainable printing with HP

In this fast-paced trade fair game , visitors collect as many plastic bottles as possible within a time limit – supported by quiz questions that yield additional bottles.

Accessories can be collected along the way, which can be used to customize the cute character.

After the time has elapsed, the amount collected is displayed and players can take an AR photo together with their personalized character, print it out and take it with them as a personal trade fair souvenir.

Initial situation

HP has been pursuing ambitious sustainability goals for years and is focusing on innovative solutions such as the recycling of plastic bottles for the production of toner cartridges.

But how do you bring these values and processes closer to a broad public – in a way that is not instructive, but inspiring?

Especially at trade fairs, where visitors are bombarded with information every second, it is a challenge to get through with sustainable messages.

Traditional information stands or brochures are often not enough to generate attention – let alone establish an emotional connection to the brand.

Our solution

An interactive exhibition game with low-threshold access and a clear message:

Collect plastic bottles, solve quizzes, collect accessories and playfully learn how HP produces sustainable toners from recycled plastic.

The simple game mechanics ensure quick access and fun for all age groups. Trade fair visitors compare their results, customize their character and experience an emotional connection with their character through a shared AR photo.

The printed image becomes a personal memento and a lasting message to take home with you.
